Major responsibilities

  • Identify relevant data sources for business needs
  • Collect structured and unstructured data, and source what is missing
  • Organise data into usable formats; process, cleanse and verify it
  • Build predictive models and machine learning algorithms
  • Enhance the data collection process and set up data infrastructure
  • Develop, implement and maintain databases
  • Assess data quality, and remove or clean what fails
  • Analyse data for trends and patterns, and answer specific questions with it
  • Generate insight from data sets and prepare reports for executive and project teams

Major responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain websites and software applications
  • Use scripting and authoring languages, management tools, content creation tools and digital media
  • Confer with teams to resolve conflicts, prioritise needs and develop content criteria
  • Direct and perform website updates
  • Develop and validate test routines so test cases mimic external interfaces and cover all browsers and devices

Description

  • 5+ years experience in Java development, with strong Java development skills
  • Front-end UI development and architecture experience — HTML, CSS, React, Vue, Node.js, Bootstrap
  • Integration experience with back-end services
  • CI/CD delivery techniques
  • Source code management — Git or TFS
  • Microservice experience and UI testing
  • Strong C++, Java and Linux development experience
  • Experience of modern libraries including STL and Apache libraries such as NiFi
  • Good grasp of networking fundamentals
  • Experience of scripting languages — Ruby, Python, Bash, Docker
  • VoIP/VTC standards
  • Ability and desire to learn new programming languages and technologies quickly
  • Previous coaching and team leadership experience is required for higher-level software developer positions
